Библиометрические подходы выступают основным инструментарием в определении научных тенденций и фронтов, с учетом которых впоследствии проводится экспертная оценка приоритетных направлений исследований. К настоящему времени для выявления научных тенденций и фронтов разработаны подходы на основе анализа публикуемости, анализа цитируемости и контент-анализа. Наиболее распространен анализ цитируемости с его разновидностями: прямой, социтирование и метод библиографического сочетания. В статье рассматриваются основные характеристики каждого из методов. Описаны текущие проблемы при поиске научных тенденций, фронтов и приоритетных направлений. Делается вывод о высокой степени объективности библиометрических подходов для выявления научных фронтов и приоритетных направлений, в особенности при комбинировании разных видов библиометрического анализа. Перспективность дальнейшего использования библиометрии в данном направлении подчеркивается ее гибкостью и способностью быстро адаптироваться к меняющимся условиям функционирования науки и новым публикационным моделям распространения информации.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Revealing research fronts and detecting research priorities are one of the most significant problems in the science of science and scientific policy due to the crucial importance when planning research. Bibliometric approaches are the main tool when detecting research trends and fronts providing the basis for further expertise of research priority. To date, different approaches have been developed for research trends and fronts detection including analysis of scholarly output, citation analysis, and content analysis. The most spread is citation analysis and its variants, i.e., direct citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and bibliographic coupling. The paper discusses the main features of each method; describes current issues of detecting research fronts and setting of research priorities. The authors conclude that bibliometric approaches for detecting research fronts and research priorities are objective, especially when combining different forms of bibliometric analyses. Bibliometrics seems to be the most promising approach due to its flexibility and capability to be rapidly adapted to a dynamic scientific environment and new publication models. </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>приоритетные направления исследования</kwd><kwd>научный фронт</kwd><kwd>научная тенденция</kwd><kwd>библиометрия</kwd><kwd>анализ цитирования</kwd><kwd>контент-анализ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>research priority</kwd><kwd>research front</kwd><kwd>research trend</kwd><kwd>bibliometrics</kwd><kwd>citation analysis</kwd><kwd>content analysis</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование выполнено при финансовой поддержке РФФИ в рамках научного проекта 19-011-00531.
