Book Scholar, Historian, Educator: to the Anniversary of Dmitry Arkadievich Elyashevich

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to present a brief biobibliographical and historiographical outline of research activities of the book scientist, historian, teacher and bibliophile D. A. Elyashevich in the context of the evolution of domestic theory of book science. The main stages of the researcher's scientific and professional development are characterized, key areas of his elaborations are highlighted: Jewish press and works on Judaic studies, problems of censorship and censorship institutions in the Russian Empire, theory and methodology of book science. The medialogical approach to book theory and educational practice is substantiated as one of the fundamental achievements of D. A. Elyashevich.
