Siberian and the Far Eastern inhabitants’ basic reading modifications at the end of the XX century – the first decades of the XXI century

Abstract
The great role of reading in the life of an individual and the society conditions the actuality of the study.
For to recreate an integral picture of reading modifications of the population of the Siberian-Far Eastern region in the late XX - early XXI centuries, the author states and solves the following tasks: 1) to supplement the theoretical aspects of these modifications characteristics; 2) to identify and analyze the main modifications of the regional population reading during the period under review.
Theoretical principles of reading modifications have obtained an important progress. The comparison of the basic modifications, permitting to considerably enrich their characteristics and, thereby, to identify their similarities and differences and clarify their role in the human life has been made.
For the first time, the most common reading modifications have been revealed – business, entertaining and ordinary. They also have the widest text corpuses. Their readers’ audiences have appeared to be the most numerous. The results obtained give an idea about the most widespread reading modifications among the residents of the region and, accordingly, the mostly often- implemented reading functions, allow you to detail and supplement the reading picture of Siberian and the Far Eastern people during the period under study.
