Library Acquisitions in the Scope of IP-Culture Development

Abstract
In the context of the struggle for import independence and technological leadership, intellectual property protection assumes particular importance, which in turn entails the need of raising citizens' awareness in this sphere and upgrading IP culture in the society. The basic curators of knowledge, information about intellectual property in particular, are libraries. The purpose of the article is to present the results of the study showing the completeness degree of collections of scientific and scientific-technical libraries and libraries of technical universities, selected within the framework of researches of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Federal Institute of Industrial Property”, with educational literature on intellectual property. This article will be useful for librarians as well as for teachers, graduate students, and a wide range of people interested in IP-culture issues.
