Abstract
Information and analytical products and services (IAPS) have come a long way in their development, starting from ancient handwritten collections to modern varieties (ratings, knowledge maps, infographics). The purpose of the work is to analyze approaches and practices relative to the creation of IAPS by scientific libraries taking into account the development of information technologies. IAPS, which are becoming the key component of supporting users of scientific libraries, are considered. The historical path of the development of analytical and synthetic information processing is briefly considered. Particular attention is paid to emergent technologies (artificial intelligence, big data, AR / VR) in the information and analytical activities of libraries. Based on the analysis of IAPS presented on the websites of libraries of the world's leading universities (TOP-15 world and 15 Russian universities) included in the Leiden Ranking in 2024, the results were obtained that demonstrated the extent of the development of approaches to the creation of IAPS and made it possible to determine the most popular and non-standard forms of IAPS in scientific libraries.
